The Royal Wedding Day

Acho que a coisa mais legal de todo essa estoria do royal wedding foi o feriado. Eu e o Tim escolhemos ir para a casa de amigos em Wyboston, uma vila pequena e rural, super simpatica que fica a meia hora de MK. Tivemos um cafe da manha super ingles e vimos a cerimonia pela TV. Depois fomos passear pela vila, passamos um tempo no pub local e fomos conhecer outra cidadezina proxima chamada St. Neots. No final do dia tivemos um jantar delicioso no jardim. Brigada Debbie, brigadaWilliam e Kate!

I think the best thing about the royal wedding was the holiday. Tim and I choose to go to my friend's house in Wyboston a small and rural village not too far from MK. We had a wonderful English breakfast  and saw the wedding ceremony on television, then we went for a walk through the village, then we went to the local pub and then to know St. Neots close town. In the end of the day we had a lovely dinner party in the garden! Thanks Debbie, thanks William and Kate!

Feriado de Pascoa - Easter Holiday

O feriado de pascoa semana passada foi uma maravilha: nada menos que quatro dias sem trabalhar! Eu e o Tim aproveitamos pra passear e explorar lugares novos, foi otimo!  Aqui vai um resumo em imagens.

O Casamento Real - The Royal Weeding

O casamento real ta chegando e aqui nao se fala em outro assunto! Parece clima de copa do mundo: ruas enfeitadas, bandeiras ao ar, camisetas, canecas, pratos, toalhas de prato...a lista de itens comemorativos nao para, tudo personalizado a carater, mas nem tudo e assim tao cool. Tem muita fofura mas tambem tem um monte de bizarrices. Separei algumas coisas interessantes que achei na net pra este post, mas com certeza ainda voltarei a falar do assunto esta semana. The royal wedding is coming and no one talks about anything else! It's like the World Cup for us Brazilians: decorated streets, flags on display, T-shirts, mugs, plates, tea towels ... the list of commemorative items doesn't end, but not  everything is cool. It's got a lot of nice things but also a lot of bizarre things. I've found some interesting things on the net for this post, but for sure I will return to talk more about the royal wedding this week. Have a good week!

BBQ

 Hoje fez um dia lindo e quentinho de primavera aqui na Inglaterra! Já saí do trabalho planejando um picnic e meu marido topou a idéia, daí decidimos que seria um BBQ (abreviatura pra "barbecue" que quer dizer churrasco). Passamos no supermercado pra comprar a churrasqueira descartável, o baguete, carnes e salada. Escolhemos um lugar que amamos aqui de MK, o Grand Union Canal. Foi ótimo e muuuuuito gostoso!

Today we had a beautiful and warm Spring day in England! Since I left work I started think about making a picnic and my husband agreed, then we decided to make a BBQ. So we went to the supermarket to buy a disposable barbecue, baguette, meat and salad. We choose to go to a place we love, the MK´s Grand Union Canal. It was amazing and delicious!

Sempre pensei em fazer isso com meu bebê, se um dia eu tiver um. Um desejo não realizado de brincar de Anne Gedds, ao meu modo, por isso quando vi essas fotos hoje no Designers Block não resisti, igual o fez Di Overton quando viu no Lifestyle etc, e tive que mostrar aqui. A garotinha se chama Mila e as fotos foram tiradas pela mamãe fotógrafa Adele Enersen. Não é uma fofura?!

I think I always thought about doing this with my baby, if I ever have one. It's like playing Anne Gedds in my own way so when I saw these pictures today at Designers Block I couldn't resist to share them, like Di Overton did when she saw it at the Lifestyle etc. The little girl is called Mila and the pictures were taken by mommy Adele Enersen. Isn't it cute?

My Craft Corner - Meu Cantinho Craft

Na minha primeirissima postagem no blog tem uma foto do meu cantinho de trabalho quando era no meu quarto. Mas durante o outono-inverno percebi que nao me sentia motivada a produzir, ja que a noite comecava mais cedo (as 15:30h durante o inverno) e quando eu chegava em casa do trabalho tava tudo escuro e eu nao gosto de trabalhar a noite. Entao resolvi ha alguns dias atras mudar pra sala, pro lado oposto ao escritorio que o meu marido domina com seus computadores (pessoal e deo trabalho). Fiz umas mudancinhas e agora ta assim. Tenho muito mais luz que no quarto e estou mais perto do meu marido e do "kettle" pra fazer cha sempre que preciso.

In my very first post there is a picture of my craft corner when I was working in my bedroom. But during the autumn-winter I realized that I was not motivated to make stuff, since the night starts earlier and when I got home from work everything was dark and I don't like working at night . So I decided a few days ago to change room to the other side of my husband's study in the living room.  I made some  changes and moved. Now I have much more light in the room and I am close to my husband and the kettle to make tea whenever I want it.

Vi essas almofadinhas meses atras na Dunelm Mill por £1,99 cada, nao acreditei! Comprei ambas, mas ate entao nao tive ideia do que fazer com elas, ja que sao pequenas. Hoje, cansada de olha-las guardadas, ainda nas embalagens, tomei a decisao de coloca-las na parede. Costurei fita de cetim atras e agora elas estao embelezando uma parede estreita do meu quarto. Gostaram do meu "antes e depois"?


I saw these cute little cushions at Dunelm Mill months ago for £ 1.99 each and I could not believe this price! I bought both, but until today I had no idea what to do with them. Today, tired of looking at them still packaged, I made the decision to put them on a narrow wall of my room, sewing satin ribbon on they back. Did you like my "before and after"?

Here's a very easy  recipe I created some time a go and occasionally I do it for dessert. It's a practical one and I think you'll love it. Try it!

Voce vai precisar - You'll need

Banana

Mel, Canela,iogurte natural e manteiga para fritar.

 Honey, cinnamon,yoghurt (greek style is the best) and butter for frying.  

Corte a banana em rodelas e ponha para fritar na manteiga até dourar.

Cut the banana into slices and put to fry until golden brown.

Quando estiver dourada dos dois lados, retire do fogo e transfira para a taça de sobremesa. Ponha mel à gosto por cima, polvilhe com a canela e acrescente o iogurte. 

When it's golden brown both side, put it on a desert dish, pour honey, sprinkle cinnamon and add the yoghurt.Enjoy it!

New Books

Estou muito feliz com essas ultimas aquisicoes! Passei ontem pelo shopping pra comprar um livro de presente pra uma amiga e achei uma maravilhosa promocao "compra um e leva outro pela metade do preco". Nao resisti e trouxe pra casa minhas queridas Tone Finnanger e Cath Kidston! Vou fazer um poster sobre as duas em breve, aguardem.


I'm so happy with my new aquisitions! I popped up to the shopping centre yesterday to buy a book as gift to my friend and then I found this sale "buy one and get one half price". I couldn't resist to take home Tone Finnanger and Kath Kidston! I promise to make a post about then soon.
